Toad Taxi

Every year, with the beginning of Spring, Senica schools
and blue teams - those joined under the We-Are-At-The-Same-Boat
innitiative - organize a "toad taxi", an outdoor citizen science
education project, the main focus of which is to help amphibians migrate
safely.
This year it
took exactly four weeks, from 9 March to 5 April. Afyer the barriers had
been propperly erected, the day-to-day field work saw 1446 grateful
"passengers", namely common toads, green toads, brown frogs and one
common newt safely carried to their mating grounds, classified and
counted.
