On 21 February 2025 Senica Sea Scouts become members of International Guild of Knot Tiers (IGKT, www.igkt.net) and as their first entry they organized their first official Six-Knot Challenge between scouts, volunteer firefighters and young rescue teams.

The tournanent took place on 21 March 2025 in the gym of Sadová 620 Middle School and thanks since the organizers decided to use jute rope instead of traditional polyester, the tournanent became part Micro-Hunters public awareness campaigns and an ouverture to this year's World Water Day celebration.

The classical challenge has long tradition worldwide and focused on the following knots:
Clove Hitch
Round Turn & Two Half Hitches
Reef Knot
Sheet Bend
Bowline
Sheepshank

On 24 April the winners of the tournament were decorated and received a badge which will be a proof of a skilled knot-tier. The organizing team is ready to accept video recordings of the successfully tied knots anytime and have a badge ready for all other enthusiastic tiers from far and near should they feel like sharing a proof of their six-knot video with our team.

Big thanks shall go to the organizers and all participants for their hard work. Train hard and come back on Friday 20 March 2026.
